In order to successfully master a language, you need to store vocabulary and grammar in your long-term memory.<\/strong> This is achieved through the controlled revision method, that means revising in doses over set periods of time.<\/p>\n

When we do, hear or see something for the first time, a connection develops between the neurons in our brain. This connection gets weaker and disappears over time. If we do something repeatedly, the connection becomes stronger.<\/strong> We are then able to recall the information in the future.<\/p>\n

According to the forgetting curve, which was discovered by professor Hermann Ebbinghausen in the 19th century, we forget about two-thirds of what we learn on any given day within 24 hours.<\/strong> In 6 days, we forget about 75% of what we had learned.<\/p>\n

In order to help our students as much as possible, we\u2019ve extended Ebbinghausen\u2019s forgetting curve by the controlled revision curve. We\u2019ve designed an extremely helpful revision system for students of foreign languages. If you adhere to this system of revision, your memory will store 4 times as much<\/strong> as it would the traditional way.<\/p>\n
